Privacy Policy
Browser Time Travel helps you find pages in your own Chrome history using a spoken memory. It is designed to work locally on your device.
What the extension accesses
- Browsing history: searched only to find pages you ask for and to open your selected match.
- Microphone input: used only when you start voice search. Chrome’s speech-recognition feature transcribes the phrase you say.
- Local preferences: consent status and settings may be saved in Chrome local storage on your device.
What we do not do
We do not operate a backend, create accounts, track users, run analytics, sell data, use advertising, read passwords, read cookies, access messages, or access Incognito history. Browser Time Travel does not upload or retain your browsing history or audio.
Chrome speech recognition
Voice transcription is provided by Chrome. Depending on your Chrome configuration, Chrome may process microphone audio through its speech-recognition service. Review Chrome and Google privacy controls for information about that browser-provided service.
Your choices
You can stop voice search by clicking the extension icon again, remove the extension at any time, or clear its local data from Chrome’s extension settings.
Browser Time Travel’s use of information received from Chrome is limited to providing its user-facing history search and travel-back feature. It does not transfer, sell, or use that information for advertising or any other purpose.
